UK’s Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community (RISC)

RISC is an inclusive alliance of trade associations and bodies which represent the UK’s security and resilience sector. The purpose of RISC is to act as an umbrella association in order reduce the fragmented way in which the Government engages with the security and resilience sector, and to work with Government through the Home Office (Office for Security and Counter Terrorism) and other departments and agencies, on national security and resilience issues to:

  1. Help ensure the efficient and timely delivery of quality national security capabilities to Government in support of the National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence and Security Review, as well as relevant sub-strategies such as CONTEST;
  2. Work with the Government to increase the UK’s share of the global security export market and deliver CONTEST through private sector activities abroad;
  3. Where appropriate, use the private sector to delivery capacity building projects in high risk countries, achieving UK national security objectives abroad.

RISC was founded by: ADS, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and techUK.  Membership is open to other appropriate, representative bodies.  All members of these associations and bodies have automatic access to opportunities through RISC.
